The Dongdaemun Design Plaza (동대문디자인플라자), designed by Zaha Hadid, is Seoul’s most striking contemporary building. The 86,574 m² structure uses 45,133 unique aluminum panels — not a single straight line in sight.

What’s Inside

The DDP houses the Design Museum, multiple exhibition halls, a Design Market, and the Dongdaemun History & Culture Park. Events include Seoul Fashion Week, art installations, and pop-up markets year-round.
