Jagalchi Fish Market
Korea's largest seafood market. Buy live crabs, oysters, and flatfish on the outdoor stalls, then take them upstairs to be cooked on the spot.
Jagalchi Market (์๊ฐ์น์์ฅ) has been Busan’s seafood heart since the Korean War. The outdoor stalls sell live and fresh seafood while the modern indoor building has restaurants that cook your purchase.
How It Works
Choose your seafood from the ground-floor vendors, agree on a price, then take it to the 2nd-floor restaurants where they’ll prepare it (fee: ~5,000-10,000 KRW). Popular items: raw hoe (ํ, sashimi), ganjang gejang (soy-marinated crab), and steamed seafood platters.
